Mary MayPersonal Testimony
This is my testimonial. The bike ride I refer to is this Saturday, if some unforeseen thing happens & I don't finish the ride I'll let you know to change it. "Joining the gym in 2010 is the best decision I've made for my health, my confidence, for the quality of my life. I have always had to work at keeping a healthy weight. I exercised on & off throughout my life but it wasn't until I became a member of Everbody's that I discovered how amazing working out can make you feel. I'm a stress eater so after my husband was diagnosed with cancer & later his passing I put on a lot of weight. It was about 6 months after my husband's passing I saw a pic my daughter took of me while we were on vacation, that is when I decided I had to do something. At first it wasn't easy coming to the gym. It was a daily battle, but with the encouragement from the staff & other members, the family atmosphere of Everbody's, the fun but challenging classes, & determination on my part, my desire to get fit & be healthy won! It wasn't long until I enjoyed going to the gym, I loved the feeling a great workout gave me, that endorphin high is real guys! The people, the friendships I've made through the gym has enhanced my life tremendously. Since joining Everbody's I've became a runner for the first time in my life, running my first half marathon last April & I'm a cyclist, achieving a PR distance of 60 miles at the 2015 Bicentennial Bike Ride in Owensboro. I never would have tried, much less accomplished these things without the support & encouragement of my gym family, my friends!" – Mary May |
