Kim Ficker“In March 2012 I was working mother of two. I was still packing the extra baby weight from m second child and I honestly didn’t think that it was ever going to go away. I wanted something different than before. I didn’t just want to lose weight I wanted to be stronger. I had lost and found many pounds before with several programs so to say I wanted a total change is an understatement. I had a goal previously of losing 30 pounds before I turned thirty. Well, I was turning 30 in a month so I decided I would lose thirty pounds before I turned 31. I decided to call EverBody’s. I didn’t know anyone from there. I had no idea who was calling, I just knew Tell City wasn’t that far of a drive for me to make from work. I spoke with Breanne and made a personal training session for that Thursday. I had no idea what to expect. Here I am this out of shape, over weight, sleep deprived, train wreck. When I walked in I instantly felt at home. Breanne and the whole staff made me feel accepted. She helped me realize how far I could push myself. I not only lost 30 pounds before my next birthday, but I also ran my very first 5k and several after that. I was terrified to take a spin class, but once I took one I was hooked.
Four, years later I am stronger, heathier, and happier. I have had the honor and privilege of coaching 3 Biggest Loser Seasons and made some wonderful friends along the way. The biggest thing that I have taken away from this is from this journey it is okay to be a little selfish. We give so much of ourselves every day. I must say I am thankful for my understanding husband and children. It wasn’t an easy transition, but now the whole family realizes how important the gym is to our family and they get involved as much as possible.” -Kim Ficker |
