Kelly Hollinden"My Everbody's journey started in January of 2013. I joined the third season of Biggest Loser with a couple of friends as a way to lose some weight I had gained following the birth of my second child. As a former high school and college athlete, I found myself in need of a way to find my way back fitness and a healthier weight. Cue Everbody's Biggest Loser. During that first season, I jumped in with both feet. I tried all the classes (even the crazy early ones!) and found my weight beginning to drop. As it turned out that season, my team won the overall contest and although I can't remember the exact place I finished, I was very proud of my individual performance as well. For me, that was the kick start back to where I knew I needed and wanted to be. The Biggest Loser program provided me a competitive, yet fun way to be a part of something bigger than just my individual battle with finding my way back to fitness.
I was asked to co-coach my former team with Emily Miller during the 4th season of Biggest Loser. From then on, I've been coaching a team, most recently with my twin sister, Katie Weyer. Biggest Loser got me back into my life as a runner. Since joining the Everbody's team, I've completed a marathon, four half-marathons, and several smaller races. Weight loss and fitness is not easy. For me, it is something I am always working on and trying to improve. Everbody's has provided the support that I need (and will continue to need) as I continue on my journey. I always joke that one of the reasons I enjoyed high school and collegiate athletics was because it was a social event for me - all my teammates were my friends. It is the exact same atmosphere at Everbody's - working out is a social experience for me again. If you find yourself wishing for a healthier version of yourself, or just need a place to make some new friends to have fun with - Everbody's would be a great fit for you!" - Kelly Hollinden |
